Caring for a beloved pet in their final days is both a challenge and an opportunity for expressing love and compassion for your animal friend. Our goal is to make your pets life as happy, comfortable, and fulfilling for as long as possible. When we can no longer do that, and your pet is having more bad days than good, we can give them the gift of euthanasia. This final act of kindness allows your pet to die peacefully in the comfort of their home, surrounded by their loved ones, in their sleep.
If you choose euthanasia we’ll work with you to understand your personal needs and preferences. We’ll inform you of what to expect during the process. Our focus is to honor your direction and protect the special bond between you and your pet during this final stage. We can assist you in performing a ceremony to celebrate and memorialize your pet’s life and passing, or if you choose, can quietly and humanely euthanize your pet with simple dignity and peace.
Euthanasia can be performed inside your home or outdoors at a site of your choice. First we’ll administer an injection of a combination of drugs that will provide sedation, pain and anxiety relief, and muscle relaxation so your pet will feel peace and drift to sleep. This will take about 10-15 minutes in most cases, and you can cuddle with your pet as they begin to doze off. When they are fully sedated/anesthetized, and you are ready, we will proceed with the final injection.
This final time together can be a time of reflection, and a time for a celebration of a life well lived. We’re here to help support you in marking this most important moment in whatever manner you choose for you and your pet.
